Žalgiris crowned as a KMT winners, Lietkabelis – second, Juventus – third

Kaunas „Žalgiris” is taking home their first trophy of the season. Kaunas „Žalgiris” defended their champions name of Citadele King Mindaugas Cup tournament.

In the decisive match of the final four in Panevėžys, Žalgiris defeated Panevėžys „Lietkabelis” woth the result – 76:69 (19: 8, 18:20, 21:13, 18:28).

„Žalgiris“: Thomas Walkup 18 points (8 as.), Nigel Hayes 14 points, Joffrey Lauvergne 11 points.

„Lietkabelis“: Kyle Vinales 17 points, Gytis Masiulis 11 points, Gabrielius Maldūnas 10 points (9 reb.).

Team of Utena „Juventus” has won the third place in the Citadele King Mindaugas Cup tournament against Klaipėda „Neptūnas”. „Juventus” got the job done easily with the final numbers on the scoreboard – 86:69 (21:11, 19:22, 25:18, 21:18).

„Juventus“: Mindaugas Kupšas 19 points (8 reb.), Vaidas Kariniauskas 15 points (5 reb., 6 as.), Žygimantas Skučas and Bryant Crawford 11 points each, Ignas Vaitkus 8 points (6 reb., 3 as.).

„Neptūnas“: Džiugas Slavinskas 17 points (7 reb.), Matas Jogėla 12 points, Norbertas Giga 10 points (5 reb.), Benas Griciūnas 9 points.

In between the games for the third place and grand final, organisers of the final four of the Citadele King Mindaugas Cup held a 3-point contest. Andrew Goudelock, Vilnius’ „Rytas” player won the contest.

In the final stage, Goudelock has scored 22 points, while second finalist Evaldas Šaulys from Klaipėda „Neptūnas” had 20 points.
