The three-day international Ramūnas Šiškauskas tournament culminated in Kaunas on Thursday. Lithuanian-2 girls’ team defeated the Latvian team in the last game 64:53 (18:14, 15:14, 17:16, 14:9).
Miglė Kisarauskaitė scored 16 points and was one of the team leaders in the game. Eva Pernavaitė and Brigita Rimkevičiūtė (8reb) added 11 points each.
Lithuania-2 girls’ team after a fierce combat had to acknowledge the advantage of the German national team 69:72 (24:14, 13:27, 18:14, 14:17). Sintija Aukštikalnytė with 26 points was the leader not only on the court but also on the boxscore. Viktorija Matulevičius added 14 points (7reb), Austėja Rauckytė – 12 points (6reb).
Sintija Aukštikalnytė was named an MVP of the whole tournament, while together with Brigita Rimkevičiūtė, Julijana Blažič, Viktorija Matulevičius and Estere Petrus formed a tournament best starting five. Egidija Paužuolienė was recognized as the best coach of the girls’ tournament.
Lithuania-1 boys’ team defeated German team in the last game 81:73 (16:16, 23:24, 22:15, 20:18).
Juozas Virkutis scored 22 points (13reb), Matas Buteliauskas added 16 points, and Gabrielius Jokubauskas – 11 points (7reb).
Lithuania-2 boys’ team defeated the Latvian national team 71:31 (23: 2, 19:10, 7:12, 22:7).
Kristupas Smirnovas stood out among the hosts of the court with 13 points (5reb, 4as), Paulius Narvilas added 11 points (8reb), Dovydas Buika – 10.
Steponas Žilakauskis was named an MVP of the whole tournament, while together with Matas Buteliauskas, Dovydas Buika, Eric Reibe and Rūdis Donis formed a tournament best starting five. Tomas Bakanauskas was recognized as the best coach of the boys’ tournament.
