In 2010, the conference of the Lithuanian Basketball Federation decided that the new LKF logo will be created on the basis of Tadas Gutauskas’ sculpture for basketball.
The old logo with Gediminas columns was very good in its time, but now it no longer meets the modern requirements. The new sign will be unique because fans will not only be able to see it, but also touch it or take a photo of it near the Siemens Arena in Vilnius. It will also be easier to use for commercial purposes. New logo will be easier to apply in the production of souvenirs and other products.
