„Kantar”, the world’s leading data, insight and consulting company, has released TV ratings for February of 2021. In February, the Lithuanian national team played in the EuroBasket 2022 qualifying tournament.
According to the news page krepsinis.net, in the consolidated rating, expressed as a percentage, 12.5% viewed the game against Denmark. It is the best result in Lithuania together with TV3 news, which recorded the same percentage.
Although the game against the Czech Republic was not decisive, it was watched by 10.4%, which is the third best result in the TV3 grid and the 4th best ranking in general in February.
For comparison, the „Top 5” most watched programmes on the LRT (Lithuanian national television) could be used. For example, in the fourth place is a game between Kaunas Žalgiris and Real Madrid that logged a 7.1%. While in the 5th place was the final of the King Mindaugas Cup (KMT) between Kaunas Žalgiris and Panevėžys „Lietkabelis” that has logged 6.9%.
It is worth noting that Žalgiris’ games in the Euroleague are also broadcasted on the paid channel TV3 Sport. Five of BTV’s most watched programs (2nd and 3rd place) have two Betsafe-LKL games, respectively – 3.1% game between Žalgiris and Pasvalys Pieno Žvaigždės, and 2.7% game between the Žalgiris and Klaipėda „Neptūnas”.
