Head coach of Lithuanian youth’s basketball team Rolandas Radvila, introduced the video editing program BasketMap to LSU students and taught him how to get the most out of it. This video editing program is designed for video analysis of basketball games and training. It is a great tool that helps the head coach to improve and at the same time improve the pre-game preparation and helps to develop players’ skill.
Benas Matkevičius, assistant coach of the Lithuanian national basketball team and an NBA scout for Boston Celtics, has shared the insights of match analysis with LSU students. The basketball specialist told how to gather a detailed analysis of the opponents, how to present their strengths and weaknesses, prepare the outlines of the game plan. The students were happy to get acquainted with the idea of how the analysis of the opponents’ game is prepared, what aspects are presented to the players before the match and many more insightful tips.
