The run of the Lithuanian esports basketball team in the European Championship ended in the semifinals. In it, the Lithuanians had to acknowledge the advantage of the Russian team.
In the first semi-final match, the Lithuanians had an advantage of 17 points at a time, but at the end of the match the opponents bounced back and won the game with the final result 63:60.
In the second match, the Russians took the lead from the beginning of the game and after winning the match with the result 69:56, they also won the semi-final series 2:0 and advanced to the finals.
In the other semi-final, the Latvian national team defeated the Portuguese team 50:45, 44:63 and 55:52 and reached the finals.
In the quarterfinals of the tournament, the Lithuanian national team led by captain Ignas Vaitiekus defeated the Serbian national team who had no losses until that point in the tournament.
In the group stage, the Lithuanians confidently defeated the Montenegrin team 83:32, in the second meeting they had to admit the advantage of the Portuguese team 50:65, and in the last confrontation they defeated the Austrian players – 77:38.
