The young basketball enthusiasts participated in the Lithuanian Basketball Federation’s (LKF) youth girls’ project (orig. Vikruolių taurė), where they passionately competed for victory and prizes.
Palanga SC (coach Daiva Mažionienė), Klaipėda V.Knašius KM (coach Aušra Naidėnienė) and Ukmergė SC teams (coach Rita Troškienė) took part in this project that was held in Klaipeda. Ukmergė SC girls saw their skill unmatched and took the first place.
“During the event, the girls competed by playing numerous games and performing various tasks. There were a lot of smiles, a great vibe and just a few tears after losing the game. An emotional day with a basketball is a great end to the season and the beginning of summer. The young players got back home tired but got to know new people, made new friends, experienced the excitement of the game and spent a great day in the seaside city”, – said Lina Brazdeikytė, LKF women’s basketball project manager.
On June 13th, the project will take place in Mažeikiai, on the 14th – in Šiauliai, and will finish in Kaunas on the 15th of June.
